Jordi Labs offers High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) services with expertise using normal phase, reverse phase, and Hydrophilic Interaction Chromatography (HILIC) applications.

To quantitate a wide variety of compounds, we offer UltraViolet (UV), Refractive Index (RI), and Evaporative Light Scattering (ELSD) detection modes.

Please find below a list of the chromatographic methods we offer with a brief description of their advantages to help you identify the right technique for your analysis.

Detectors

Ultraviolet (UV) Diode Array Detector (DAD)

• Applicable when the analyte of interest contains rings or double bonds which absorb UV light. Typically, a wavelength from 210-254 nm is selected, and sensitivity of the detector can be in the part per billion (ppb) range. With DAD, a UV spectrum of a chromatographic peak can be recorded. This can be helpful when comparing the UV spectrum of a peak from a standard with a peak from a sample for purity analysis.

Evaporative Light Scattering (ELSD)

• Considered a “universal” detector, as all semi- and non-volatile analytes in a sample produce a response. Sensitivity of the detector can be in the part per million (ppm) range. This mode offers greater sensitivity than RI detection.

Refractive Index (RI)

• Like ELSD, this is also considered a “universal” detector. RI provides detection of the greatest range of analytes.
